For the elect's sake those days shall be shortened

Matt.24.22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

He hath shortened the days

Mark.13.20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

He would depart shortly

Acts.25.4 But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither.

And come short of the glory of God

Rom.3.23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

A short work will the Lord make upon the earth

Rom.9.28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

Rom.16.20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

I will come to you shortly

1Cor.4.19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.

The time is short

1Cor.7.29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

I trust in the Lord

Phil.2.19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
Phil.2.24 But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.

To see your face

Things which must shortly come to pass

Rev.1.1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

He hath but a short time

Rev.12.12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

He must continue a short space

Rev.17.10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

Things which must shortly be done

Rev.22.6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
