The city being in an uproar

1King.1.11 Wherefore Nathan spake unto Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith doth reign, and David our lord knoweth it not?
1King.1.41 And Adonijah and all the guests that were with him heard it as they had made an end of eating. And when Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, Wherefore is this noise of the city being in an uproar?

Nathan the prophet have anointed him

1King.1.45 And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king in Gihon: and they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that the city rang again. This is the noise that ye have heard.

The king sent and called for Shimei

1King.2.42 And the king sent and called for Shimei, and said unto him, Did I not make thee to swear by the LORD, and protested unto thee, saying, Know for a certain, on the day thou goest out, and walkest abroad any whither, that thou shalt surely die? and thou saidst unto me, The word that I have heard is good.

They feared the king

1King.3.28 And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment.
1King.4.34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all Kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

The words of Solomon

1King.5.1 And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.

The house, when it was in building

1King.6.7 And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor ax nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.

The supplication of thy servant

1King.8.30 And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.
1King.8.32 Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

Hear thou their prayer

1King.8.43 Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.
1King.8.45 Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.

The queen of Sheba

1King.10.1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.
1King.10.6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.
1King.10.7 Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.
1King.10.8 Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.
1King.10.24 And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

Let me depart

1King.11.21 And when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers, and that Joab the captain of the host was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, Let me depart, that I may go to mine own country.

The LORD hath delivered him unto the lion

1King.13.26 And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake unto him.

The sound of her feet

1King.14.6 And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings.

Day in the camp

1King.15.21 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, that he left off building of Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah.
1King.16.16 And the people that were encamped heard say, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slain the king: wherefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp.

The soul of the child came into him again

1King.17.22 And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

O LORD, hear me

1King.18.26 And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.
1King.18.37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.

Kings in the pavilions

1King.20.12 And it came to pass, when Benhadad heard this message, as he was drinking, he and the Kings in the pavilions, that he said unto his servants, Set yourselves in array. And they set themselves in array against the city.

1King.20.31 And his servants said unto him, Behold now, we have heard that the Kings of the house of Israel are merciful Kings: let us, I pray thee, put sackcloth on our loins, and ropes upon our heads, and go out to the king of Israel: peradventure he will save thy life.

To take possession of it

1King.21.15 And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead.

I saw the LORD sitting on his throne

1King.21.27 And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.

1King.22.19 And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.
